QPC floors is an advanced or upgraded version of traditional SPC. SPC and QPC all have rigid core which is stone and plastic composite. compared with SPC, QPC dose not have wear layer, which is used to protect the film of the floor, this layer normally is 12 mil to 30 mil thick. Generally believing the thicker the wear layer, the stronger it protects the film(the color and surface design of the floor), but this is not necessarily true, because the nature of the material(vinyl) also pays. No matter how thick the top layer is the surface of floor is still vinyl.
QPC is the new finish trying to improve the softness of SPC, instead of using vinyl as top layer. it’s used quartz finished surface, making it more durable, more scratch resistance and more color/design visible / more nature.
